Wideband Anti-Jam Modem CONOPS Lead 

Job Type: Full-time

 

Task Description:

 

Provide SATCOM Modem Electrical Engineering support for the Navy’s Wideband Anti-Jam Modem (WAM) program. Work with the Assistant Program Manager (APM) and Lead Engineer (CE) to develop requirements, create briefings and participate in internal and external meetings.  Generate CONOPS and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) by working with stakeholders to include Navy PMW/A-170, PMW-770, PMW-790, PMW-160, PACFLT, USFF, OPNAV, NAVIFOR, NIWDC, Air Force SMC, ARSTRAT, and DISA. 

 

 Job Responsibilities: 

The WAM Modem Engineer is responsible for:

-Developing WAM CONOPS

-Developing WAM Standard Operating Procedures

-Assist in development of WAM performance requirements

-Participate in contractor design reviews to include SRR, PDR, CDR and TRR

-Participate in operational testing and exercises including developing test plans and procedures

Desired skills:

 

Must possess excellent writing and verbal skills and email etiquette. Must be a proactive self-starter, work well independently and with teams in a collaborative environment. Proficient with Microsoft Office products, to include Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio.  

Desired Experience:

  • Minimum 10 years of Navy SATCOM experience

  • Experience with FDMA, TDMA, MF-TDMA, DSSS, FHSS and CDMA waveforms

  • Experience with the Protected Tactical Waveform (PTW)

  • Experience with Wideband Global Satellite (WGS)

  • Link budget analysis experience

  • Experience with Navy SATCOM systems to include CBSP and NMT

  • Experience with SAR/SAA process

  • Experience with Navy CONOPS development

  • Experience working with stakeholders to include Navy PMW/A-170, PMW-770, PMW-790, PMW-160, PACFLT, USFF, OPNAV, NAVIFOR, NIWDC, Air Force SMC, ARSTRAT, and DISA

  • Experience with NSA Type 1 certification

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in  Electrical Engineering, Masters Preferred

The WAMS System Engineer is responsible for:

-Assist in management of WAM performance requirements documents, including coordinating specifications reviews, adjudicating comments, and providing document updates

-Support the WAMS program team in developing program acquisition documents and other technical documentation

-Participate in contractor design reviews to include SDR, PDR, CDR and TRR

-Participate in the evaluation of vendor Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs)

-Aid in the development of WAMS test plans and procedures

-Provide other support to customer as required

-Participating in operational testing and exercises.

Desired Skills:

DoD & Federal Sales Manager

Task Description:

NewSat is hiring a C5ISR Federal Sales Manager to grow and expand our presence. This person will be responsible for driving sales efforts and working with partners to maximize market adoption and growth. We are looking for someone who has built strong relationships in the Federal market and who also has a track record of closing deals, within a fast-paced, high growth environment. Work closely with our engineers and program teams to design and implement successful Lead Generation and Go-to-Market campaigns and drive overall sales excellence in a competitive market. 

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Successful track record of developing leads, proposal development, and winning contracts with the DoD and other federal agencies

  • Familiarity with federal government contracting vehicles

  • Working knowledge of SBA and FAR rules and regulations 

  • Coordinate and Lead Key U.S. Federal program capture strategies to and through select U.S. Federal Systems Integrators

  • A clear record of quota achievement and metrics-driven approach to prospecting and managing pipeline through to a successful close

  • Proficiency in tracking potential opportunities and forecasting accurately on a monthly/quarterly/annual basis

  • Excellent proposal writing and verbal skills with an attention to organization, detail, and quality presentation

  • Develop and execute account strategy for Federal accounts and opportunities

  • Establish relationships with key decision makers

  • Leverage account knowledge and market intelligence to drive actions that generate sales outcomes

Sr Project Manager

Task Description:

NewSat is hiring a technical project manager to lead projects and programs in support of C5ISR efforts for US Government programs.  

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Support Business Development

  • Support new business pursuit activities, including opportunity qualification, formation and execution of pursuit strategies, and coordination with senior executives via gate reviews and critical pursuit reviews

  • Define and Plan Projects / Coordinate and Draft Proposals

  • Negotiate and Support Drafting of Contracts and Subcontracts Documents

  • Develop Statements of Work (SOW) for subcontractors. Work with engineering staff to develop the appropriate set of requirements associated with the SOW.

  • Manage the cost, schedule and technical performance requirements of complex technical projects through the life-cycle phases of development, implementation and operations

  • Excellent proposal writing and verbal skills with an attention to organization, detail, and quality presentation

  • Develop staffing plan and work with functional leads to ensure that program staffing needs are met.

  • Lead Execution of Projects to Completion
